Just a few days to Valentine’s Day, the party in love. If you have not yet decided how to pass it, here are some special ideas on how to spend in the mountains this day in the company of your half.

Wednesday, February 14, on the occasion of the party of lovers, there will be a competition for ski mountaineers and snowshoes. The couples must be formed by a man and a woman who must always be tied uphill with a cord no longer than 5 meters.
Snowshoeing race: 7.30 pm departure from Piazza Dolomiti to get to Dosson (400 meters in altitude); return to the gondola lift.
Tiramisu route for ski mountaineers: 7.45 pm departure in line from the Andalo Piazza Dolomiti to reach the Dosson area (400 meters in altitude); return hunters 1.
Itinerary Tiramisù D + for ski mountaineers: 8.00 pm Time trial departure every minute from the Andalo Dolomites Square, passing through Dosson (800 meters in altitude), downhill track for Cacciatori 1, illuminated and uphill Olimpionica 1 with arrival at Dosson.


On February 14th Happy Cheese in Love will be held. At 11.00 am I meet at the Rifugio Tognola with tasting of Cembra Cantina di Montagna wines, while at 5.30 pm at the Stube Ristorante Birreria you can taste, in addition to the aforementioned wines, finger food with Primiero cheeses.

This year, Valentine’s Day coincides with the Carnival week. From 11 February to 16 February 2018 special offer: white week at 159-179-189 euro per person based on the chosen structure. The package includes 5 nights with breakfast (arrival on Sunday, departure on Friday) + 5 days day skipass (from Monday to Friday).

For Valentine’s Day, the Averau Refuge proposes the Week of Love and on February 14th offers a heart-beating menu to lovers. But inviting the other half to share a stay in a refuge, perhaps by booking a moonlit dinner, is an experience to be felt throughout Cortina.
After reaching the Scoiattoli hut with snowshoes, skis or chairlift, we stop for a romantic rendez-vous, accompanied by tasty traditional dishes. In front of the shelter there is a “barrel” in fir wood. perfect to relax immersing yourself in the hot water fed by a wood stove, lulled by a sensational view.
You can enjoy a dreamlike panorama from the “dolomite” saunas and the Lagazuoi refuge – the highest, at 2,752 meters – both of the Croda da Lago refuge, at 2,000 meters above sea level, with an enchanting view of Lake Federa.

On the evening of Valentine’s Day there will be a snowshoe hike in the company of a Nature Guide who will accompany you for a romantic sunset walk. Afterwards you will dine in a shelter at high altitude, reachable by the snowcat, or in a room downstream. After dinner, cocktail at the pub.

Hotel Miramonti offers a picnic for two in the Spa created from an alpine rock. A couple relax massage and a romantic candlelight dinner with porcini mushrooms in the woods, Raschera flans, homemade smoked salmon, fresh fruit, bitter chocolate and spumante croissants.
